How far away was that? Looking for one of these for my sister at the moment but did not notice it on autotrader.

Nice cars.

The dash rattles Joe, talk me through that.

And the gearboxes are made of cheese.

Fingers crossed it goes wrong so I can moan on here

Rach wants some Ronal Turbos for it, I think I'll just refurbish the standard rims and tell her to STFU.

Still, at least you now have a decent car to use instead of that VXR thing you drive

Sorry mate that sounded a bit nasty

The thing was slow....the clutch was just as funny as the last Polo she had which was the shape before it...it handles like a boat...the brakes were crap..the seating position was daft and the transmission was never really 'In Sync' with the engine so you could never get it to drive smoothly.

PMSL i'm sure the GTI is better though eh?

No, seriously disapointed with pulling out of the house. If we hadn't been messed around on Thursday we would have been moving in, in 3 weeks. But change of plans and a nice new car and holiday instead.

You only live once.

I understand what you mean mate.... we are finding the house hunting all a strain so have taken a small break for a few weeks... the market will continue to reduce and flatten out over the next 8 months so there will be time to get on the ladder.

i am jellous of the holiday plans... i can't even think about a holiday at the moment.

Picked it up, its a right laugh to drive

It is so pokey compared with a Corsa 16V engine, really wants to get going. Handling is nice, bit to much body roll but that can be sorted.

Noticed the wheels have been refurbished so that's half the job done already, just need to do the centres black.

Flat out, going to go cruising later in it.

One thing I noticed it only has a tape player So I've dug out my old DnB tape packs and I'm living out my youth again BOYYY!!

I used to drive a polo gti. Awesome little car! As you mention gear boxes are useless.

Had G60 brake upgrade and some eibach springs. Was amazing at going around corners and stopped like... something that stops really well!

Looks amazing in the flesh mate.

The rear plate needs straghtening up and you need to get an VW indash CD player for it - the ones that sit under the tape player

Looks very nice mate, lowered a good bit and the centres in an anthracite colour would look superb on it, along with UK font plain pressed plates.

If you have an ipod then just buy the tape connector and hey presto you have the ipod fitted to the car lol, thats what I done in mine
