RS will be less hassle with a warrenty and being new ytou get to flash your 59 plate about town.

However, its on finance and no matter how much people say they hold their value etc it wont be worth £25k when you sell it.

The interior is nasty, it looks a little boy racer and in your face.

The m3, is slightly older buy a decent one and it shouldnt need much other than a few minor things. If you purchase one thats just had an inspection 2 then the running costs are bugger all IMO. Will be no better/worse on fuel.
However if something breaks you wont have a nice warrenty to fall back on.

And to come to a conclusion.......

Wrong wheel drive??

No matter how much the motoring press praise it (its a ford afterall and they ALWAYS praise them no matter how shonky) It wont have the "feel" a rear wheel drive car will.

People wont think your a pratt if you pull up in an M3, a lime green go faster focus however.....

That £360 over 5 years colin.. So your borrowing about £17.5k? I think I'd take the M3 to be honest... RS would be a novelty but you wouldnt be able to park it anywhere and it will lose money in a big way at the moment..

This man speaks sense.

With M3 prices as low as we know, why not buy one with no associated debt and enjoy it for a couple of years?

Its 311 over 4yrs or 400 over 3. Around 13.5-14k.

Im not too fussed about it depreciating. You loose cash on all cars. Ive lost about 3k on my golf in a year.

m3 you can drive nicely and pimp about. rs everyone will expect you to be a boyo from the local carpark in town. bit of class vs bit of chav appeal.

I saw someone pull into BP next to me in an m3 tonight, put £10 of fuel in and push the trip reset button. He then proceeded to drive off really slowly.

Get the RS

The sad thing is you noticed. You really need to look into getting a life instead of driving round trying to find petrol 1p a litre cheaper and watching everyone else putting fuel in their car.

If it was me I'd rather eat my own balls than take the focus over an M3, but you seem to be really hyped up for the RS so go with that if you really really want one.
