i think you may have actually got away with this. If the po po were going to burn you at the stake they would have given you the three points on the spot wouldnt they? Even if you get away with it then please let that be a lesson to you to slow down... the next lesson might result in an innocent persons death!

75? Is that it? Next time carry more speed on the corners and you'll be able to go faster. Police might not be able to catch you if you go fast enough!

@ the poster.
We all speed, but Medway estate is notorious for the police.
75 in a 30
Done for taking a mate on moped when it clearly says no passangers on L plates.
Good to see your keeping up the original Chatham trend (its where the word chav derived from).
I'll stay on my moral highground and join the bandwagon.

I <3 the CS bandwagon.
Lucky to get away with that though, but I've done the same thing and got away with it, I lucky though and had a Copper not from the area so he wasn't really sure on proper procedures. Works for me.

I would also just like to add that I know that estate very well because I work there. I always stick to the limit on the public roads and when I drove to Southend the other night at 1am I stuck to 70 all the way!
I have been caught out doing something I don't usually do!
Thanks, Joe.
I know that estate VERY well, and there are lorries coming in and out 24/7.
The roads in that estate are very very slippery. Esp as 12.30am in the dark, cold damp conditions.......
ESPECIALLY when there is a 7 mile motorway just outside the estate. I know, i got done at 131mph down it but the fact is its on a motorway in the middle of no-where, not on the industrial estate right next to a petrol station, mcdonalds, and in the actual trading estate with a 30mph zone.
tbh, i hope you loose your license, then you might learn from the mistake
As for 70mph on the a127, well everyone sticks to 70mph, as they "used" to stick hidden cameras on tripods on the way home anally catching everyone who raced home......
See the trick was to race someone to the points you knew MIGHT have a camera, then stamp on the anchors and watch the car carry on through the speed trap.
Now THATS being a c*nt

70mph on the A127 is speeding, you should be off the roads fella!
But seriously the A127 is a 50....
Medway Tunnel is awesome for exhaust sounds

It didn't used to be 70mph fealt slow on the way there, but 70mph on the way home at 3am, fealt fast, but i'd usually be knackard at that point. Heart FM chillout tunes FTW... (god im fcuking old, this was like 3-8 years ago )
Tunnel, Medway, VRROOOOOMMMMM TISHHHH
Thats whats even worse, he's got the tunnel no more than 400m away from the trading estate.
Makes it even more funny.

Id have thought they would deal with you there and then tbh.
To be honest, if it's a serious offence... then he will be issued a court summons, as a fixed penalty won't be able to cover 75 mph in a 30.
Ok Questions.
1. Did he say you were going to get a court summons? (Verbal N.I.P)
2. Did he Caution you? 'You have the right to remain silent, anything you do say shall be given in evidence in a court of law'.
3. Did they show you their 'evidence' on camera?
To be prosecuted you need a Notice of intended prosecution (N.I.P) ... This can be written or verbal. Speed camera's require a N.I.P be sent to you in the post within 14-28 days of the offence I believe. Without this, you can't be prosecuted - however from what you say, it sounds like they gave you a 'verbal N.I.P' - requiring no paper work to be given to you.
Secondly, if court action is to be done, then they should tell you - you will get a court summons and give you a police caution ... 'You have the right to remain silent, Anything you do say will given in evidence' etc. Without giving this, then they legally can't take you to court and basically it won't have a leg to stand on... So if they didn't do this, you will not be getting a court summons.
finally if they haven't shown you the evidence, they most likely haven't got any... and therefore are just trying to scare you. Without evidence they can't prosecute you, unless you admit to being guilty to the offence... i.e. 'Yes officer I was doign 70 mph in a 30'.
So review the above and re assess. They may do you on 'dangerous driving' or some thing else. But if they were going to give you a fixed penalty (for example SP 30, for doing 40 mph in a 30) they would of given you a ticket there and then.
However, if they're going to take court action for a serious crime 70 in a 30, then you would of had all the 3 points above happen.
Finally, if they did do the above 3 things, then they have up to 6 months to inform you of your court summons.
I know all this, because it all happened to me for doing 101.4 mph (not in a 30 mind) - my summons arrived about 5 months after the event happened.

You have to be notified within 14 days if you have been reported for offences, Dangerous driving etc...
Not sure on the situation if you've dealt directly with a Copper mind you.
I'm sure he said somewhere he got let off though.

tbh, i really do understand the reasons why.
It really was a racetrack, scoobies, evos, supras, corsa 1.4 16v then 2.0 16v etc...
Usually we'd come home in groups though and save the racing for the sliproad onto the M25 up to Thurrock

Good good.
Rebel against the machine......
That bit of road is where i discovered slipstreaming....
Racing Paul Watson (hmm any REALLY old members rememeber him???) in facelift 1.4 16v Sport.
Sat up his backside slipstreaming, gaining, gaining, pull out, alongside, look left at Paul, waaaaaveeee...
Then hear (BWAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR), look right and its Donna in the GSI (still white and on 14"s!!!! Thats how long ago this was ) come flying past the pair of us with my mate in the car pissing himself....
She'd sat back, watch me catch Paul, then nailed it, slipstreamed the pair of us and swung out and went past us both like we were going backwards...

I Went to court for being clocked at 70 in a 30, it was 6:30 am, it was dark, it was a straight road, i was late for work, it was 200 Yards into the 30 limit from a National limit, the copper was speed checking at the entrance to my work.
I shouldnt have entered the 30 at 70 No Excuse, i learnt my lesson the hard way and got a Ban and £100 fine, that was Very lucky tbh.
it wasnt in a built up area, it was a traffic calming area, to slow cars down before the built up area, i used to do the same speed every morning to work, i used to come off the throttle at the 30MPH signs, and i i would slow down perfectly to go into my work, it was a bad habbit and one day i got caught out.
i have no Sympathy for people that drive at such speeds in a built up area, and also with "Friends and girlfriend" in the car
