Awesome, shame I'm nowhere near Kent if you can get it for £30
I can live without the car for a week but definitely need it by the end of the month for the next meet Plus there's some job finding stuff to be done out and about.

My Dad will not let me forget writing off my last ibiza, and for that reason he's a cunt

And BTW, that wheel is completely repairable
Aslong as you're ok with touching brakes (some people don't like going near them) then it's not a hard job, just a few bolts

Cool Well if I can get it fixed that'll be all good. Doesn't look quite as bad in the pics though, I'll have to try some different angles but I've parked quite close to the wall so it's hard.
I'm alright with anything mate, as long as it doesn't explode in my face when I take the cover off then it's all good.

Any alloy wheel place will be able to repair that, my wheel was proper buckled in a crash and told it could be repaired so that's very minor.
Get pics of repairing
I did have pics of mine without the rear beam but can't find it.

Thanks chaps, it's the thought that counts eh
Unfortunately thoughts don't fix cars
Will definitely get pics mate, this'll be the biggest thing I'll have had to do to my car so there'll be pics-a-plenty
I'll stick a post up once I've gotten hold of a beam, I'm free every weekend in the afternoons so will get it done then. Free most days as well

Exactly All about getting my hands dirty.
My old job involved some engine stuff (albeit 2.2L Isuzu dervs with between 32 and 55 bhp) but no brakes

I called up the recovery company today and they said it would cost £175 +vat, and then extra because it'd be a Saturday, so probably looking at near £300 or not far from it
There's a couple of axles on eBay, unless you could stick your one on a courier, Tom?

Dave, find Jimmy's Project thread for his van and have a check through it - he changed the rear axle on that at one point fairly near the end IIRC, so you can see the steps a bit better

I've got a beam here that you could have had but they're very heavy, wouldn't be worth posting it.

Cheers Tom, will do
It's a shame you're the wrong side of Brum, Ian How much do you reckon a courier would want for something like this?
Would it be worth getting some Powerflex bushes as well and fit them while I'm at it, like Jimmy did?
I'm also wondering whether to get hold of springs etc sharpish and get them on at the same time as well

Do you have AA Recovery? They recovered me free of charge when my clutch cable broke. Just ring them up and say the can't won't drive properly etc. Don't on you had an accident though.

i just had an engine couriered for £42, if you can get down to me saturday morning then you can help ou getting it off my corsa and see how to do it. I have a recovery driver who will collect it and drop at mine for about £80 but it is up to you, wont cost you much as shrek will be doing it as a pivate job, he unfortunatly doesnt have the time to come up to you

Beam is larger than an engine though, might be a problem.
Just make a few scrappy calls tomorrow. You'll be fine. They're not rare.

Dave I wouldn't worry about getting springs now, they aren't a hard job anyway beam is far more important.
As Ian says they're not rare so not worth trying to get a courier together for one.

Deano: I don't have any recovery
I'm not entirely sure how many scrappies there are round here, I've only been to one and it wasn't very big, although at the time they had a Corsa there. That was a while ago though
I found Adam-D is selling one for a tenner but he's in Cheshire - nowhere near here
