I had a play with a 2004 civic type s 1.6 and it was right up my arse i couldnt pull one bit in a Passat 2.0 tdi! I woul of said he were so slightly quicker ( about a 40 - 90 mph roll)

And before anyone comments on driving, i now how they rev range works etc

If the diesel is quicker than the petrol the diesel is quicker.

What model of passat were you driving, I can't see a 1.6 keeping up while moving.

My 168bhp fabia wasn't much behind the clio, it would definitely lose from a standing start but once moving there wasn't much in it at all, so this petrol being quicker all the time is balls.

Looks like it has OEM xenons, if one of them is inop it could just be a bulb, in my 2 and a bit years working at Renault i've only ever seen one xenon bulb failed.

Mind and disconnect the battery first

Looks like a nice car, turini's make a diff.

Tried both bulbs and the power packs in the side thats working and they are both fine, the new ballast should be here tomorrow, hoping that sorts it.

It was dying off when I stopped going... Spoke to Rennie a few weeks ago and seen Munchie the other week but apart from that not really yano. I'm hoping to do trackdays now i've got this, just need to get a few mechanical bits sorted on it first, few knocks and bangs that dont sound too healthy
