The mixture of the words "corsa" and "ground breaking" were the funniest bits of this thread. Possibly adding the word "scene" to finish off the wankness.

250db isnt physically possibly, its just a number the idiot has plucked out of his arse, along with the 200bhp rebuilt engine!

as for people saying the bodywork was ripply etc, tbh a car with that much filler continously joined is always gonna end up ripply or shimmery altho i would have thought the metal flake would have hid it pretty well..

shame to see the car ended up like this. was fun watching it take shape..

well pal to be fair, the word corsa will be used alot on this site, as its for enthusiasts, you dont like em F**k off, also what other corsas barring boyracers was this mental, loads of corsa owners wanted to fit big bodykits at the time as it was in...like Iaz said...its was over 5 years ago when it was built, times have changed now but at the time it was a show winner, as proved by the awards it won. Also, your a turd!!!!!

Chrex, what you have to remember was this was built 5 years ago - the modifying scene has changed so much since then.

When it was built it was different in so many ways to the cars which had gone before it. You can't really compare it to the modified scene nowadays as the two are worlds apart.

The thing that gets my goat is the "sheep" instinct of the modifying scene in the UK, using Corsas as an example, first it was Combat and Inta kits; then combat 2/UV Predator type kits then GSi with speedlines, then Irmscher airdams now its sleepers. TBH its a bit boring nowadays and thats why the car shows and magazines are dying out; I don't want to pay to go to a car show to look at a car which is standard from the outside - okay it may have a big engine but if the bonnets shut and its parked up who cares?

The touches on Jag corsa like the hinged rear light for the hidden fuel filler, the Jag headlamps, the 206 rears, the kit parts which came off every car other than a corsa all made for a car which love it or hate it was a bit special. Even at the time it divided people, however to be built by Iaz in a barn in his spare time with no real external assisitance bar the painting - it was a foOKing good effort.

The modified scene started to change about 3 years ago and tbh its a bit dull now

Thats a 165bhp modification max.

200bhp Yeah keep dreaming. Your only missing things like high lift cams, headwork, exhaust manifold etc.

Or nitrous.

The standard inlet will flow over 200bhp, but sucking the air in through 1 throttle body won't get 200bhp.

And yes, its been tried and tested plenty of times. A local RR may tell you otherwise, but i'll trust Swindon Racing, the guys who ran Formula Vauxhall and ran the Super Touring car engines from the 90's over some dude on the tinternet.

"If anyone knew anything about the engines you'll know you need TB to make that power"......As said by you.

My reply was,no you dont.

And yes as you have said,Nitrous.

And whats a 165bhp modification max??

Nitrous is not natural power, its force fed additive to create extra power. Stop being picky. Pointless reply.

Powercap

My point is an XE can make 200bhp without throttle bodies. There wasnt anything saying what can and cant be used to get that power.Your the 1 thats being picky.

And i never mentioned anything about a powercap giving any extra BHP.I said the SFI Box is greater(> than a powercap or eco-pipe.
