When I have my mate in the car he always says that the kids looks at the grille and wheels I know that on here my car isn't that special, but I have never seen another Corsa with Softstars round here

my gf and all her mates think im a chav for owning a corsa but the gf just laughs it off as she knows its my hobby(also the fact i would tell her to gtf)
but yeh mates sometimes say aswell, especially recently doing this let conversion 'why u spending so much on it, its still a corsa' but as some of you said when i see him in my mirror when he gets his evo then i will be laughing at him.

Whatever you have, someone will find a way to take the piss. My first corsa people called shit, my astra sport was laughed at as it wasnt girly enough, so swapped that for my irmscher 2.0 astra sri, that called chavvy (how it was chavvy i do not know, it was very sexy!), sold that and got a chavvy corsa lol, everyone took the piss out of that for everything, now I have my new vectra sri, with the vxr styling kit and 19"s, they laugh at the size of it, says its a grandad's car, again not girly enough etc etc!

Yes, but its small, looks cute, rattles and shakes, needs aftermarket seats to be comfy,
and how hard is your suspension in that corsa? It doesn't bump and jump everywhere at all.
MEanwhile, mr standard car is sitting nice and comfy, not spilling his drink everywhere, and is slightly slower in a straightline.
I'll take the new car, that won't have niggly problems, probably wont break down, will be comfy, and doesn't get laughed at by eveyrone else.
Been there, spent far too much money, yes it was fun, yes it was a good laugh and a good life...
But on the road, beucase your corsa is 0.5 seconds quicker to 60mph, maybe 1.5 seconds faster to 100mph, does that make it a good car.....?
No, its still a boyracers pocket rocket, and always will be. With age comes understanding.
I was embarrassed to say i owned a modified 2.0 corsa. I felt childish and towards teh ened didn't really want to mention it. But when i was 18-24, i'd rave about it all day long..... And i was one of the corsas most enthusiastic supporter.
Jambo has sumed it up well though. No matter what you drive, someones gonna dislike it and cain it, there will always be a better car.
I.E a Clio sports is better than a corsa, no matter what peopel say. Standard, (even Vs XE corsa), it handles better, goes jsut as fast, more refined, reliable (ish) and hasn't got the boyracer image.
Dunno why poeple are going on about it being chavvy. A chav is not a car owner, its a breed of inbred dimlows who go round wiv attitude innit, wiv der boyz in da downs innit.
A boyracer is more inclined to sit at McDonalds, use neons, have an extremly large exhaust on a car with no more the 1.4litres, lowered, and usually with a big stereo.
Not the same people chavs n boyracers (althought they do cross). Nova was never a"chav" ride as the word chav wasn't about when novas were.
In fact "chav" only came about in 2002/03 era, when corsas were already becoming boyracermobiles.

i also love changing peoples opinions, when it was at its best a few years back i used to take it to the RSOC meets, and it got a great reaction for such a simple car
diffrence is car people can appricate what you've done, non car people make the sweeping genralisation

when my grandad died we inherited his old merc c class. Like all old man mercs it had mod cons and was painted old man blue with matching interior but immaculate and altho it was 8yrs old had only 30k on the clock. So me and my dad shared in using it and bumping up the mileage to average before getting rid..
When i pulled up mates would say "did you borrow your grandads car?!"
I simply replied, yes. Hes dead. That usualy shut them up!

NO- If you own one, and are in the modifiying crowed, be that CS, McDonalds Boyracer, or just the ned that bombs around with a bean can as a tailpipe. Its your car, its your pride and joy, no matter what anyone says you love it and you can tinker and play as you want, easy to make it better as its so bad to start with. Also may think this if already owned one
YES - Also fgf you've had one and moved on, but mainly if you've never had one, and don't understand what kinda social life you can have, and how much fun it is to drive and how skatty it is.. But really, no guys/girls, a Corsa is not a cool car to have....
A Integra Type R is a cool car.
A corsa b isn't

VXR. yeh xe's do break but thats the fun in them.as a everyday motor i wouldnt youse it.or if i had anywere far to go lol.i use the cupra for that but corsa's are good toys
