I'm fed up of hearing about it aswell, but it can be a good thing aswell for getting my first house bought next year.
As for job losses I left my job in car sales because it was terrible, now doing 24hr breakdowns for a local company. Earning more money, secure job and I dont come home worrying if I'm going to earn enough to live this month.

Just a local place, family owned kinda thing. They own the building and land so it must be bad for them to be laying people off.

I sent a txt to people i knew and that came in the shop for stuff saying it was my last day etc. come down today if you need anything as i wont be able to get stuff cheap after now, hovered over your name for a sec then realised the chances of you getting there in 3 hours were pretty slim

Indeed. Infact its not likely to affect you unless your going to sell your house etc.

My helmet is a piece of AFL Adam history now. Does that make it any more valuable?

Not happened yet... cant really go anywhere without seeing something I've owned these days though.
Driving down the backroads with all the beacons on and me making siren noises will never get boring though..

Looks like I spoke too soon. Got a letter from my bank saying they are cutting my overdraft facility by £600 as I live in it!
Oops. Gonna get my arse in gear and stop spending all together!!

What bank? Very strange, both me and Rach have had our respective banks on the phone asking if we want anything increased. Rach got offered a £1300 overdraft the other day via her internet banking, then I had a letter from HSBC saying do I want to increase my overdraft.

Nationwide! Just been on the phone to them to ask if they can cut it by £300 this month adn then £300 the next but they're having none of it!
Insane seeing as though my credit card with them has a 5.5k limit!
Looks like I'll have to borrow £300 off my mum to bail me out this month! No going out for me either

That is f-ing scandalous. Are you a home owner? That could ruin some people if they didn't have money to fall back on.
I would seriously take your custom elsewhere.

Yep I'm a homeowner! Going to have to ask to borrow £300 of my mum to bail me out this month and pay her back pronto.

I have no idea what has been said, but. . .
. . .my boss and a complete rant about this on Wednesday, as he got 3 letters from HMRC about the 2.5% reduction in VAT.
He said "What do I charge VAT at? 15%! What do I claim back? 15%! So it makes no fucking difference to me if VAT was 200%". Then he barked on about how we are skint as a country, and the government should have let capitalism sort itself out.
Also, what I didn't know, the country has sold all its cold, so we have nothing
