Keep the chin up mate, this story is very similar to something that happened to a friend of mine 3 or 4 years ago. Its incredibly hard to deal with but she pulled through in the end and I'm sure your girlfriend will aswell.
Its good that shes so much closer to home now mate. Must have been some journey up to Edinburgh from Annan. She seems to be improving a lot so heres hoping you will be getting an early Christmas pressie

Again, thanks for all the comments. Your all REALLY helping me a hell of a lot, which in turn is helping the lady in question, so thanks tonnes.
My mum lives in Italy and she says that her friends over there are praying for her and me. Even some of my Mums clients in America Emailed her to ask Rach's and my names so they could pray. Really gets me, deep inside.
Just on my way up to see her again at 7 tonight. Went up last night but they would let me see her as i'd missed visiting time and they were working with her. Id happily go up every night after work etc.

I wish her all the best, and i'm glad to hear you're staying strong, but i don't believe praying will do anything.
If there was anyone to pray to, this sort of shit wouldn't happen to decent people.

I TOTALLY understand mate. I was exactly the same. Used to think god etc etc was a load of pants and that anyone who prayed etc was mad. But its what YOU make it. Im at my wits end, and being in a position where i can do absolutely nothing, praying is a last resort and makes you feel like your helping.
I know / believe that there is no god, but i still find it beneficial to myself to pray as i feel im doing the most i can to help. Bizarre i know.........

I was in a situation a few months ago, where there was no hope at all.
So long as there is something there, you have to keep on doing anything and everything that you feel helps matters. I genuinely feel for you mate, and I really hope that everything works out better than you can possibly imagine now.
