He's tried a number of times.
Firstly he asked where to direct his legal department after some people said bad things about his company. Said he would have no option but to take matters further. As an aside he said in that u2u that five refunds had been issued. I'm not clear to whom. That was 21st October.
Second one was via you when he told you to delete the thread in order to get the refund processed quicker.
Third was was actually calling the Police and claiming that three direct debits have been set up using his account details. Most worryingly, the Police did initially think the fraud was being coordinated on this web site via u2u without my intervention when in fact Dave overlooked to tell me the username of the person who passed the information on to him so I haven't yet read the messages relating to it. Obviously if when telling me about it if he had have included the details of where to look for such conversation I would have acted more swiftly than if he said 'we were informed of this confidentially by one of the forum users who had recieved a U2U containing info that confirmed that people were planning this.'
Confidential my ass. Quite how I'm suppose to act if he's pulling the confidential card I'm not clear.
Fourthly and in the mean time, he's been on to both our hosting company and our domain registrar to attempt to pull some strings and usurp my authority. Ideally they will tell him to sling his hook but I'm yet to see the outcome of that one.

Well, my rules or otherwise, informing the Police that you have been wronged is rather audacious when you have £2000 of other peoples' money.

There were other warnings that he was a dodgy character, at least 2 other times where he doug himself a big hole with constant lies and twisting the story.
Sad thing is, he will probably get away with it. Why don't you all do a "group buy" on 5 minutes of some scumbags time.

So the idiot has time to chase around because some people said nasty things about him on an internet forum, and to ring around hosting companys to get Ian in the shit, but hasn't the time to issue refunds.
Right oh

When threads have been posted he's u2u's the author telling them they'll get no refund if they don't delete it, he's contacted forum owners threatening them with legal action if anybody is allowed to speak of it.
He very nearly got away with it until he pulled this depo stunt and it's finally came out.
When XSIHardy got fed up and made a thread letting us all know dave u2u'd him telling him if that he had no chance of getting his money back if he didn't delete the thread.
It's not as if somebody has made one mistake and are getting lynched, he's a dodgy character that's been caught out and now suddenly the company is no more and another one has sprouted up on the same premises, using dave's cars, who employ dave, same phone number, dave answers and claims its not him, I could go on.
You clearly have no idea of whats going on though so until you do i'd just keep your incorrect opinions to yourself.
is all that accurate? i've only been browsing the Dave A threads recently so wasn't totally aware of what's going on. its fucking shocking.

Just read this thread beggining to end! Bloody great!
Tbh i dont even know the guy personally or traded with him (by the looks of things i never will!) But he seems like an utter wankoff!
Its amazing what some people do when there faced with a little bit of beef!
Hes just making it worse for himself, and like mentioned above in the thread im sure he'd recieve mnore respect by owning up to the fact that he fucked up, an contact the individuals that he owes the money to. I dread to think whats going to go on at the next CS meet if Dave A turns up!
Id feel obliged to contact people if i cocked up, rather than everyone think im a bell snogger! *rant over*

So they can hide better should any customers come in looking for a refund?
I've always found the whole Dave A saga hilarious, how he was some guy off a forum who started a company who were suddenly the best at everything and slagged off every single competitor but if anyone said antying bad about his company he threatened legal action. He then tried to pass off fake filters and got found out and STILL people did a group buy with him?!?
