Education is what is needed, sick of this shit. Why they persist on labelling them all and tarring everything with the same brush with the word "drug" when it suits them, but then allow other "drugs" to slip this bracket.

Every benchmark that is set by alcohol and smoking health wise primary and secondary, ie getting hit by some drunk while out, "drugs" such as mdma will be under. It helps raise serotonin levels in your brain, it was called empathy before it was named ecstasy(name change to sell more!) that just bloody shows how "dangerous" that is to people on a night out.

Drugs use/abuse does seem to be getting more common though, my girlfriends sister is 16 and going out and she is becoming aware of drugs, so clearly its happening a bit too much, young kids getting "ketted up" to look cool etc,ill informed, irresponsible people, thats when problems arise.T he thing is the police will clamp down on the wrong areas, that will get results/arrests but not actually help society in regards to being useful.

they have been talking about this for years, fact is nothing stops people from taking a few baby wipes, or simular, and simply wiping their hands.
most clubs drug dealers are run by the manager + doorstaff, so this really isent going to be a issue

Drugs have a negative effect on society. The house of commons/lords do not make up drug laws because "it aint as good a hit as alcohol yo" they actually have brains.

The stems reach farther than the physical and health differences. If you think legalising cocaine is a good idea, please go read your history books and return with an educated reply.

Its a social disease, just as much as alcohol addiction is.

Organised crime, terrorism funding, etc etc these things are all products of illegal industries. Also on a larger level, political corruption etc...

If you think it is a good idea, then you are infact uneducated.

** also things like ecstasy etc, might not be "bad" for you but your mates doing a few down the pub and not being "affected" is not really scientific in the slightest, nor will it stand up in courts. I.e If the governent legalise it and didnt cover there arse with the medical research then you will find if/when some goober dies gets brain damage etc, then they will get their arse handed to them. A government cant legailise something potentially harmfull (without CONCRETE scientific evidence). Its not something they can do willy nilly.

Im sure fraser young will be able to add just as many health dangers with drugs as with alcohol...

I'll tell you now my mate who was/is a pillhead has certainly been effected by years of abuse, should see the state of him.

What annoys me about drug users is that they become so messed up in it that all they talk about is drugs, my best mate who is a girl has no hobbies and lives for Friday night down the local, a few lines and then sleeps the rest of the weekend. Has no interest in anything else, is totally unaware of the world around her, has the attention span of a 2 year old child, can't complete sentences and generally annoys the feck out of me.

But shes my best mate

Its a form of escapism, leaving reality, much like people who are alcoholics, or gamblers, or even fatties who eat to much, all feeds the self esteem etc

I'd agree with that Jambo 100%.

I've never felt the need to do drugs, I'm a massive DnB head and everyone around me is flat out on E's but I don't feel like I need to do that to enjoy myself.

I've smoked weed back in school, it was alright but I wouldn't waste my days chasing around after it and wasting copious amounts of money on it.

i couldnt give a shit if other people like it, if it where all legal etc, then i wouldnt care at all.

Knew this girl who was constantly off her tits on coke, and thought she was the bomb. She did it at work everything, it was fucking embaressing and she looked liked a total fucking saddo.
She was the first to complain when her house was burgled by a bunch of crack heads (who probably knew where she lived from her dealer) she was ALWAYS ill ALL the time with various minor things like colds, flue etc etc nosebleeds etc. She was a fucking mess.

Now shes through all that, she looks back and cant beleive what a moron she was. It aint cool and it never will be.

i watched a program about these machines

they were TOO sensitive to be used for evidence by the police, even touching a £20 that had been near coke was enough to set it off, some old women even had it on her steering wheel of her car

im sorry but recreational drugs in moderation is not a bad thing. most people who jump on the bandwagon and say they are crap and for idiots know nothing about them and just stereo type the normal crack stealing junkies. I and alot of others i know have decent jobs, earn well and can do them at weekends and not be an ass or go and steal things etc.

The word drug is the first downfall,it encompasses too many totally different things but yet is used commonly.
Heroin,
Lsd
cocaiine
Mdma
caffiene,
alcohol
all go under this one term, stupid imo. The class system needs sorting, however I can see governments problem with this, de-classing stuff etc can be taken the wrong way. However doing what the Dutch do and not actually de-classing but not seeing them as a priority unless someone takes the piss, spot on imo. Someone carrying 15g of mdma, problem. Someone found with 1g,take it off them, tell them to jog on.
