If your after a convertable 2 seater, why not consider an S2000?
and on the subject of hardtops, its true, the S2000 looks so much better with them, and even better with aftermark hardtops!!

And it was an 8k for a R plate mate, maybe a little newer. No newer than 2000.

Agreed, The none S ones just don't look worthy of the badge. Rather have a high spec TT.

90% of comments will be "whooooooo you drive a porshe" with 10% being people who have a bit of car knowledge and will say "pfff, poor mans porshe etc", chances are they will drive a saxo anyway!
They are a poor man's Porsche

Well i'm getting one when i sell the scooby..
IMO the old 2.5 is a pretty slow car I remember driving on the M way and had to drop a cog to get it to accelerate! Hate that.
Only one i'd get is an 'S' and i'm going for an 03 or newer and maybe getting a Porsche warrenty..not cheap but peace of mind.
Rob Veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy nice mate

I dont think of them as being a "poor mans" porsche, i just see it as being the most economical to run and the lowest to insure. Similar scenario to an Astra SXi and a VXR.
Nice cars, engine sound is sex
