I used to get 250miles to a tank in the XE GSi
That was a mix of fast but sensible driving round the doors, sometimes 5th gear at 30mph propper sunday driving style and the occassional 140mph blip home at 1am after dropping the mrs off home from town.

Jump in, start and go steady till the water/oil has warmed up
I kind of have to sit there for a while, till the oil gets around the engine and the rattling stops I just wait till the 'automatic choke' turns off and it goes into lumpy idle 3 cylinder mode.

Seriously, it isn't nice just driving off. And why shouldn't you? Just to save a couple of drops of petrol?

I just drive off straight away, just try and keep the turbo under boost (2500RPM) while the temp gauge is off the bottom. To a tenner, in diesel terms thats 9 litres ish (£1.11/l) which is around 2 gallons? If carefully driven she would get 120 - 150 miles, if driven like a nob probly 100

shit id say.
Cant compare my current car as i never have stuck a tenner in.
My old cars even my 230bhp rs turbo would go over 100 miles to a tenner if i drove like a granny.
