an older car would be a better bet, a GSi cav or a Saph Cossie...you'd be getting a better build and more respected car.

Anyway, £8k, buy a sports bike (for fun, speed) and a cheap little low cc runaround car for the wet/cold days (for wimps) and when you become a taxi.

I cant believe the amount of people saying Cavaliers and Sierras with £8k to spend, you would have to be off it! Id get a TT or something similair...
