You've got some sort of inferiority complex going on here. Not everything is a dig, sometimes a simple question is just that. If you read what people said before flying off the handle, maybe you wouldn't feel persecuted and people would talk to you properly all the time.

Parcelforce are really quite good if the goods were paid for via PayPal. £10.99 flat rate up to a certain weight.

Dude wtf is your problem? Would you walk into a bank and ask for a loan, for someone to say "pssst, for £20 less a month I'll give you how much you want". Are you gonna bite his hand off, or are you going to ask questions about said deal?  Simply answering the questions politely may have got you another customer.
trust me, it wouldnt have. robin wasnt asking questions for his sake, he was just curious with something that dosnt concern him
