me and the wife married after just 8 months of dating...........and now here we are 8 years later, 3 kids and very very happy
biggest problem with marriage is, the sex 'dries up' (only get it twice a week  )

never been engaged.
Always said I would like to have a house etc. if/when I get engaged as dont want to be dicking round with a long engagement, may aswell just get on and get married within a year after doing it which means having somewhere to live together!
