yes and so does the breeder
Why do yo mention the breeder? Why is it relevant you say this?

the dogs will be around children from being born, so that is better than never seing a child in their lifes isnt it

He can probably just leave your daughter to watch tv, the dog would be bored to tears if it was left all day with him sleeping.

I don't work on theories like this, like humans (who are considered much more calculated) dogs can 'snap', for whatever reason whether it be because of hunger, heat, just generally fed up, I wouldn't like to think it was around young children when it did.

No offense to anyone, even the people are too quick to jump on her case at every oppurtunity, but in my opinion NO dogs should be trusted with kids as kids being kids will push the dog to beyond what you would, for example kids like to grab things, dogs don't like to be grabbed.
Do you see what I am getting at, I am not doubting that you could look after the dog but maybe you should wait until you don't have young kids?

Next door neighbours have a dog and a wee girl, the wee girl torments the dog and he always keeps his cool.
I always watch when mine is about because although he wouldn't bite or anything he's more than big enough to do damage while playing.
Although dogs can snap the ones that have been raised well I don't believe would do anything to a kid.

I'm not saying it shouldn't, I'm saying I personally wouldn't put my offspring in such a position, I know there is a minority that would, this is worrying.

but my kids arnt over active and have never acted like that with a dog, and over the past few months we have spent a lot of time with my fellas brother-in-laws dog and we looked after his sisters dog for the week while she went away, and they never pulled the dog or anything

I have a husky, they are an amazing dog to live with and extremely friendly and inquisitive dogs! I think Russ is being quite ignorant in his comments, I don't know whether he has ever owned a husky; if he had i believe he would have a different view.
It shows that you will be committed by having researched the dog for so long, it is a big decision to take on such a breed, and was one my dad waited alot of his life for. This was for several reasons, including commitment to the dog and having children.
Anyway...
heres Luka

A couple down the road from me have one, they were told to expect a handfull, never to let it off its lead, they spend £'s making their house & garden suitable for it...high fences etc..........& its as soft as fuck, never runs off, sits outside the front of the house with the gates open & walks off the lead!! Funny exact opposite of what they were told they were letting themselves in for
Id have one, if I could commit more time to the dog....which I cant as I work!
