This is another case of arguing for the sake of it
If you don't understand the language and someone is screaming at you with a handgun shoved in your face, lay down, in ANY country, if someone draws a gun, you do not run from them.
Even if you're shitting yourself, you wouldn't run, you'd have to be a complete cretin to do that, even if someone's shouting at you in tongues.
The Police are doing their job properly here for once, anyone who ignores them because they can't be arsed to learn the language should be shot.

It would have been all well & good if that guy had been a bomber & blown up a train full of passengers..............police would have got it in the kneck for sitting on the job. In a heightened security place days/weeks?!? after 7/7 its shoot to kill!!

some launguages yes but not all for instance police in welsh is heddlu.
And i agree most of the stuff that spews from my keyboard would agree with police killing people because they dont understand something.
thing people dont understand charles wasnt running from the police neither did he put up any resistence,he had just boarded the train and they shot him.

And I've never seen any of the Welsh police on TV breaking into a house and shouting "HEDDLU, STAY WHERE YOU ARE!"
You're saying people would be shot because they don't understand. As others have said, I'm fairly certain you'd understand a gun being pointed at you.

You're arguing that if you don't understand the language of the country you live in, the Police shouldn't do their job properly.
As well as that, you're arguing that if the Police think someone is person A, they shouldn't stop that person from doing the thing they're suspected of on the off chance that it's actually not them, even if it means allowing person A to kill loads of people because the Police have dithered making sure it's the right person.

Fair one, Having read an extract from the IPCC report it would seem that he was running but not from the Police at that time. I still think that whilst it's tragic it can't be blamed solely on any one person. It would seem that everyone involved did what they thought was right at the time based on the information they'd received. In most peoples jobs that means making a minor mistake in theirs it means killing somebody. The problem is that they're not robots and they only act on what they are told and what they see.

Back on topic, just read another story about this, saying he had the gun "against his head", was "frogmarched" around, generally giving the impression of heavy-handedness. Yet the pictures show a calm and professional situation, and witness reports no brutality.
