Yes but aslong as the a and b pillar remain the front where youd sit would be just as strong.

I cant see the front being any less safe.

Got to agree there.. the fact that the bed of the pickup doesn't look reasonably longer is what puts me off from the start here.

Steve, if you were bent on having a converted pickup rather than a SA import, I'd say it's best to start from a combi van, that way you get a long bed on it, and SWB doors at the front.

Saw a sheila's wheels competition winner sold on ebay which was not road legal which looked axactly the same (someone bought it for £120 ) Just looking in the back the iner panels havnt been touched or covered, fuel pump is still visable (cant be good ) with a very standard looking shell. Asked him for more info lol. I agree with your van idea tho, would be better but an imported shell shouldnt be too hard to convert to RHD surely???

A car with bald tires could be deemed not road legal though, and they're easily put right.

Quite often people will sell cars in need of work rather than doing the work and then selling them.

It may have been in a non roadworthy state at one point, but if its tax'd and MOT'd then there's more chance that its now fine.

Yes but that was cut in half and reassembled, that Corsa has only had section removed. The floor pan and front passenger compartment is still intact as designed.
