not being bad mate but you dont know much about dogs...
disturb it when its sleeping or uncomfortable and see if it bits you softly!
dogs at the end of the day are animals, which yes can be trained to a certain extent but there will always be that percentage that cant be controlled

A staff is not a hunting dog. They were bred to be fighting dogs. They'd be useless hunters IMO. I've got a staff cross and it's sh1t at finding things.
As for them being dangerous. They can be due to there breed (bred to be fighting dogs originally) but I believe it's all about how they are brought up, loved and trained. My dog is the softest ever, loves everyone and has never shown any sign of agression. Not even to other dogs that have shown agression to her.

I can wake my staffy up by bursting a balloon next to her head, can drag her away from her food and do absolutley anything and she would never bite anyone. She loves to play and would never even bite me when im playing, as someone else pointed out I could put my arm in her mouth and wind her up and she wont bite other than to let you know she could have

I have a rottie, softest dog I have ever seen. Neighbours have a terrier of some sort and that is 100x worse than our dog. As mentioned in the thread, any dog can be vicious, bring it up right and it'll be a good dog.

I have a Staff and she's soft as shite. Never even barked at another dog, when we're out walking she always want to play with other dogs and usually the dog barks at her and she hides behind my legs. Even poodles intimidate her. She'll chase cats, they'll stop, turn on her and she'll run away.
My sis has a Bullmastiff and he's fine too, doesn't like other dogs but is fine with people. Walks around like a lion

well done
we want a husky, just because we dont get snow that much, n i dont want it to pull anything does that mean i shouldnt get one?
Aren't huskys quite an aggressive dog? safe to be around your kids?
aggressive? LOL they are the worlds worst guard dog, they cant bark, and they love everybody, more likey to help a burgler breake in, and pull your tv down the road for them rather than bite them
think you should read up on the breed as the husky was bred to pull all day but when they werent pulling they were also used as hunting dogs aswell as protectors at night from wee animals like polar bears they are also superb round kids due to some being left with the women during the day while guys were out hunting etc and anyone who has one will tell you they are far from stupid inract its quite the opposite hence why they are so stuborn when they want to be

starkie, when did i say they were stupid? they arnt, they are to clever for there own good, and hairy houdini's when it comes to escaping from somewhere they dont want to be. the only thing they could do against a polar bear is howl, they wouldnt stand a chance against one.

Yea I agree, it's how it's trained and brought up my stepmum is trying to train our great dane but where he is big and clumbsy he makes many mistakes!! (it's not his fault he's stupid )
Our golden retriever was worse as a puppy than our great dane! - (in saying that he ripped the pump out of the pond the other day )
But now both dogs are getting better with age but I believe that half of that reason is because my dad has shouted and hit them
