Aaron, I think if you actually read what I wrote then you'd clearly see I never stated I had a say in the budget or taxes. It's not about having the ability to control what happens in the budget, but adopting an ignorant and blase attitude isn't exactly a genius approach is it?!

Incorrect
I don’t have an "ignorant and blasé attitude" for everything. I only have it when no matter what I do, I can't have any say or manipulate the outcome of a certain situation.
Another example (all be it, very off topic) is that I don’t passionately support any sort of team (football for example) because I don’t have any say in what happens. Do you see what I’m saying?
When ever i'm in a situation where i have a say on the outcome of something...i speak up!

Yeah its shit, I was chatting with the guy I take into work about all the tax we pay.
20% on income, 40% on any over 36k (which we'll both be in soon)
NI - cant remember 5% of income possibly?
£1k a year on council tax
17.5% on all purchases ANYTHING YOU BUY!
Road Tax £160 a year.
TV license - ok not going to the treasury but your forced to pay it even if you dont watch terrestrial TV.
65p from a £1 on fuel. I use alot of fuel - over 200 quid a month! £130+ fuel tax & duty a MONTH & thats only really to get me to work to make money to pay more taxes Its a visious cycle!!
I recon 60-70% of my income goes to the government!
