My problem is I drink kronenburg, which is stronger than say calsberg 
So calsberg 3.5% or whatever ... 2 = 7%
Kroney 5%... 2 = 10%
I thought a pint was roughly 2 units, and the legal limit was 1.5 - 2 units? but that's the legal limit, so in theory you can have 1 pint and immediately drive...
If your gonna be there for 2 hours, in theory those 2 pints would still have you under the limit.
But it all differs from person to person and as said it's not worth the risk. I generally have 1 pint if I'm gonna be designated driver, just to get me slightly in the mood at the start of the night, then just drink cokes for the rest.

doesnt differe from person to person that much, because youve still drank the alcohol to put u over the limit. it obviously affects people differently, one person can drink 4 pints without feeling it, another can be drunk after half a pint, however its the guy who cant feel it whos over the limit
though the other guy would get done for not being in a fit state to control a vehicle
