Anni it up, although I am biased Picking up a genuine splitter already painted in silver for 150, and got lights for 190 del for a pair, but both are second hand items
There is someone on uk-mkivs that has produced a perfect replica of an anni splitter in ABS and will be selling them for £87 quid. So could be worth getting it repaired then buy the splitter at a later date? ill find the link for you if you are interested

I thought you already had an anni with all the bits?
I'll only be paying about £30-40 more for a genuine one + I get it painted up with the rest of the car & also I need it for the begining of next week so no time to deal with someone else. Think i'll just go with a genuine one. Also should get some discount to bring it down a lil.

I reckon the previous owner took some of the bits off before the insurance company took it away, came with all the anni bits bar the lights, splitter, wheels and the disc changer. I reckon he bought a standard silver golf with the money he got and chucked them on that

ah I see, thats a bit of a bummer!! The wheels cost a fortune aswell! Much did you pay for it out of interest?

Paid 4.5 for the car and 820 for a new engine which came with everything and some random leon cupra bits Wheels are very expensive and usually corroded, will be next year before i get them i think
Was thinking of getting rs4's like you did for the time being but decided to just save up.
Even with buying the anni bits to get back to factory look i should still save a few K over buying one thats fine. Its not recorded as a write off either as it was flood damage which is a result
Yours will look good with the anni bits on it Maybe get the rear valance and skirts at somepoint

Doubt i'll be doing any more to mine other than new front end with a few tweeks. Im not going to keep it too long gonna revert back to petrol as soon as I can.

I miss the power band & the urgency of a petrol car, I wouldnt buy a diesel by choice if mileage didnt warrant it. It was bought with 30k miles im going to do in the next 12 months. I'll probably stick to VAG for my next car, possibly an Audi (1st gen) RS6 or B7 S4, I had ideas of a Porsche something or other (boxter?) but Im not 'that' flash being honest, it wouldnt suit me. My finances should be cool to buy something like that in a year or so so diesel will be getting dropped.

Plans sound good, diesel does sound a lot more practical and economical for what you will be doing over the next year, next car choices sound very cool indeed
