nah no matter what car you have you still stand the chance of being caught speeding.
i just hate my car at the moment no love for it at all. hasnt bin cleaned for ages, grown a loud annoying rattle when its cold so i might just take it to the garage and get loads of crap done to it. but i need my car (may try and get insured on mums or dads lol.

I know how u feel planty, dont panic about it.
You can take 12 points now so getting banned isnt an issue.
If 3 point and £60 comes through, fill it in, send licence back
If more comes through, should "OH SHIT" really loudly, but you'll learn from it, fill it in, send it back
If a court summons comes through, go there smartly dressed, be sorry for it and dont even try an excuse, they wont ban you because your not doble the limit.

This is why i got shut of my Corsa Too many rattles and having to tighten things up at the roads side all the time.
I'm going to get another one, thinking maybe a GSI or Nova BUT not as my main rubaround and work horse. Will just be to mess around with and for shows.

I got stopped for speeding the other nite 55 in a 30 lucky he was coming the other way so didnt catch the actual speed i was doing, he chased me pulled me over and said 'is this a racetrack' he looked about 17! luckily i talked my way out of it by saying id just finished work (nearly 1.00am) and wasnt paying attention and when i saw him thats when i noticed how fast i was going. He said 'now i've stopped you i can see your not one of those maccy racers' i was thinking 'have you taken a look at my car'? I know one thing i definitely am more aware now lol

I got caught doing 51mph in a 30 zone about 2 weeks ago, i was polite to the officer he took all my details and gave me 3 points and a £60 fine.
the officer said he was letting me off lightly, i just bought my cally turbo that day and was taking my friend for a spin lol
how could i apply to take an awareness course and pay £60 although i had to go down to the police station and submit my licence

it wont go to court, 25mph over the speed limit is instant court case. i got caught at 57 in a 30 but he put the speed down as 55 and gave me 3 points and £60 fine instead of court.

Got a letter yesterday saying I will be considered for FPN (£60 + 3 points) Only thing it says about court is if I want to contest it or if I already have 9 points (clean licence = no problem there)
Does this mean I just need to pay the fine and get the 3 ponits and its over? (got all the forms etc for paying the fine)
Only thing that bothers me is it says "considered"

OK maybe that wasn't quite the right thing to say, but what I mean is I'm tired of travelling 60-70+ miles a day in car that bumps, bangs, rattles and shakes me all over the place and deafens me.....having said that, I'm starting to like it again now
