I drove my car into a layby backwards and bent all the wheels two weeks after passing my test I blamed it on the bump in the road at the time, but really it was because I was attempting a corner at 60mph in a 60 zone when the roads were a bit greasy.

Did you hit it square? I put my corsa onto a traffic island a while back and all it needed was the driveshaft putting back in and some gearbox oil. Then tracking (which would make it drive funny).

i agree with a.k - as long as your ok thats all that matters but if worst come to worse and you had crashed or even phoned insurance after that accident they would throw the book at you.yeah i believe it was down to experience.hell i would have even done the same more then likely.fair play to you for only clipping a curb.as said many times on here though.a car is replacable,a life isnt.just be prepaired for the winter where theres black ice and hail etc etc

Not necessarily the case anymore....there's a case all the way up in the House of Lords at the moment, which could end up changing the law on that one...

I know this because the fanny that drove into Damian's car is now disputing liability and they are basing it all on that case....
even though the donkey was in the wrong lane of the roundabout anyway
