they should sack the ones who strike and recruit again with better pay (fucking idiots people who strike it gets them no where)
What ever increase they get will only cover the days they were on strike unpaid

They're asking for 6.9% over two years, which they aren't going to get. The union are also complaining about the fact that RM wants to pay them to work for the hours they're paid to i.e. at the moment, once a postie has finished his round, he can go home, but be paid for the full shift. RM wants to stop that, and mean that even if the postie finishes his round early, he needs to stay and do some more work, which is fair enough in my opinion. Also, the union are complaining and saying that because of the above, the posties won't know what they're doing from one day to the next, which is cobblers.
Basically, the union leaders are a bunch of fuckwits who don't care either way, as they're still getting paid, whilst sending RM down the shitter. I don't agree with the strike at all and the workshy bastards should get back to work pronto.

The people I feel sorry for are small businesses, as the strike is crippling a load of them.
The people I don't feel sorry for are the ones whinging about not having their bills come through, and then whinging when they get charged for not paying it. Set up a direct debit FFS, as you're going to have to pay it either way

Doesn't matter, you can join the union and not strike. The union has said that nearly every one of their members has gone on strike. In actual fact, much less of them have gone on strike this time around.

This is true and I agree that if they finish early they should go back to the depot and do some more work until there shift ends. But what people aren't happy about is that a 21yr old can do a postal round faster than a 60 yr old so it will always be the same people going back to the depot to do more work. Not everyone does a round at the same speed!

I don't see what the problem is, if you get paid to work 9am until 6pm then you should work those hours. If you don't like it get a different job, oh, wait, if you got a different job you'd still be expected to work the hours you are paid for.

It takes the piss really. If I pull my finger out, I can get all my work finished by 2pm, but theres no point, as I can't go home 4 hours early

they're re-recruiting u here now,
its not so much a problem in my area the strikes, but the small amount who thought they'd bugger off and strike wil be re-placed i think,
and about work hours,
2 of my mates get £260 a week for working on the scaffy lorry, (wheeie bin lorry) they get paid for 37 hours a week and realisticly they do about 15 if your lucky, finished at 10am most days
im in the wrong job
