Just a quick question

Can the aircon stay in the car, or won't it fit?

Air con will have to go as the exhaust manifold fouls the area where it goes.

Also i found that there was more room when my Xe was in than when my 1.6 was in.

See.....................
1.6

About £1200 all in..

But that was with the M-Tec kit, which these days is about £400 over-priced

Only had 1 crankshaft sensor go.

Engine ran fine till i put all the chrome on. Doesn't work now, but thats all electrical. The engine is mechanically sound.

Good conversion for the car.

Thats a huge heatshield Iain

did you try running it with a closed induction kit? Mines felt smoother since i replaced the open cone witha closed one, much nicer

Same as mine. Double length one. Mine ran quicker with the open kit, but suffered when cold. It ran much smoother and quieter with the sealed unit, but seemed to run overall slower than before.

The heatshield i paid £15 for at trax last year. Bargain

Regarding closed induction no i didn't. Was a few things i wanted to do but hey.
All this talk of conversions makes me want to do it again.
