Just don't drive as fast 
If you can get points in a 1.2 Corsa, you might as well get something quicker instead of having something slow and getting points anyway.

You've hit the nail on the head there Kath, I dont feel the need to speed in the ibiza anywhere NEAR as much as I did in my corsa!

you mean 1.2 to 2.8 they are not 'that' fast though but are lovely cars imo. I'd only get a Rado VR6 but thats out the question here

I was comparing his quote for a 1.6 of £1100 ish tpft to what it would be for a vr6

Plenty of better choices out there over a corsa, but if it has to be a corsa got to be a 1.6 Sport or GSi, VR6 would be a nice comfortable cruiser if you can get reasonable insurance quote.
