I used to smoke 20 a day and managed to give up no trouble, 4 a day should be as easy as buttering your toast in the morning

I can't wait. No smokey clothes, no smokey pillows in the morning from smokey hair, and no more getting worried about being in crowded places and getting fag stub marks on clothes etc.

My Grandad got told to quit the smokes for health reasons, he didnt, ended up having his leg chopped off due to smoking causing poor blood flow...then it eventually killed him!

she was telling me about if people have heart operations and they cont9inue smoking or somthing they can refuse to resustate them or somthing along them lines.. slightly worried me..but smoking dosnt effect my heart problem directly so seeing as she is aheart doctor she would more than likely warn everyone tbh!

But Ive never been heavy smoker, when i feel less stressed ile go back to a couple now and then

no offence to the smokers but.....

its a discusting habit that stinks, looks discusting, gives you yellow teeth and fingers and bad breath..........ohhh and it kills you

and tabs cost a fucking fortune and you get grouchy when you cant get any tabs

i hate when people say, i wanna quit but its too hard and then say you dont know how hard because youve never smoked.........thats because i had the sence not to start in the first place

i look forward to the day when i can go out and get pissed, and wake up smelling off just my own piss and not a pissy smoke mixture, i dont have a problem with smokers, thats there choice, but i dont think i should be made too suffer there smoke because they want a tab, its only right they go outside

p.s i dont really piss myself when pissed.........only the once

So why do the government and NHS actively encourage people to quit by giving free patches and stuff? The money won't need to come from anywhere else.

People won't quit, smokers are stubborn, the more people moan about it, the more they smoke.

Petrol prices will go up anyway, smoking ban or not.

They offer to help because they would look bad if they just said oi stop smoking and then didn't offer to help.

I'm a smoker (about 5 day lol) and i'm not particularly bothered by the smoking ban. I wouldn't like to be a non smoker breathing in someone elses smoke on a night out so fair play for banning it. I could stop smoking if I wanted to but I really don't feel like it at the moment. When winter comes and it's pissing it down outside I'll probably stop then so my hair doesn't get wet and go curly

The only thing I'm concerned about is that without the smokey smell in pubs there's nothing to mask the smell of peoples sweat, or the lovely smell of piss from the toilets and the alluring vomit smell that may appear oh or stale beer etc etc. But I guess that doesn't give people cancer lol.

i don't smoke so can't wait for the ban.

sod the smokers, they smoke out of choice, just like fat people are fat because they eat so much out of choice then blame the government for not helping them

the sooner the better, can't wait to laugh at smokers huddled under an umbrella on a freezing winter night puffing away while i'm in my nice warm restaurant laughing at them

If it actually does stop people smoking that should have a knock on effect by saving the NHS treating smokers for lung diseases etc...
