unles they were doing 30 and somehow smashed a loada cars up and their brakes were make of sponge cake.....
non of that is proof in a court of law
however measuring things like skid marks etc could be evidence.
however the point still stands regardless of whether the car was speeding, you have to give way to traffic coming round the roundabout, speeding or otherwise

even if you were driving double the limit on the wrong side of the road completely out of control? would u then proceed to drive head on into another car then run away from the scene?

Might not be as bad as it looks mate, you mightbe able to fix it.
Thing to check is the chassis legs/inner wings, the damage looks similar to what was up with mine and I've repaired it myself - worrying thing is that yours has been hit from the side which could have twisted the shell, needs jigging tbh.
Hope it gets sorted mate

cheers corsaAsh how should i look for that?
Little update for everyone:
Skid marks on wrong side of road found. 5 Eye witnesses including driver of the VW Golf who explained to me on the scene what he saw, plus a driver of a TT who was directly behind me coming up to the roundabout. All of which have claimed and stated that the Merc was out of control, speeding and reckless and caused the accident. Going to see the car tomorrow after college so will take some more pics and see what everything thinks - write off or repair.

cheers mate. If its not that bad I may buy it back and repair it. Just did the headgasket and all 1 month ago at tops still drove it from its resting point to the recovery truck like it was new any ideas what it would need?
So far I have thought new:
headlights
bonnet
wings
radiator
bumper
crash panel

Slam panel/headlight holders.
Best way to check if chassis is bent is get it somewhere to be checked with a jig, yellow pages might have em listed.

Surely if the Owner of the Car has given permission to an uninsured driver to drive his car then he is at fault? would you not be able to claim from their insurance on the car?
