Good theory that, you are there to be parents and do whats best for them, not to be their best mates. I think this is where alot go wrong.
I'm lookin forward to it.
In 20 years when she realises I was right all along, i'll sit there with a smug grin on my face and snigger to myself

Being a bra burner i would argue that perhaps man has somthing to do with the fact that he wont shut up and get in the fucking kitchen/look after the kids, but assumes his woman will do all the parenting instead, hense the lack of good parenting because its left upto the men to do it!

and ps - before i get flamed, i am quite looking forward to having my babies, staying at home or working minimal hours of i have too to be a stay at home mum, because i went to babysitter, then pre school, then babysitter after pre school, then school, then after school club, and saw my parents for all of a couple of hours after school
and tbch i was a total chav/monger/mincer/disrespectful cow when i was a teenager as well, and think my kids will benefit from me being there as they grow up

I wasn't joking either...
Pre 'girl power' teenage girls were.....well.....teenage girls. No angels (around here anyway) but enter the spice girls and the teenage girls around here started to try to outdo the lads in all respects.
Cue much dope smoking, shagging around, drinking, the general 'i dont give a fuck' attitude. Loads of underage pregnancies and we land where we are now...
Loads of teenage chavs with single mum parents....the generation of chavs will self perpetuate because they know no different.
Thats my take on it anyway

when i have kid's i want to be there for them as much as possible maybe working part time during school etc, my mum or dad was always there to keep an eye on us when we was growing up and i think it helped keep us under control!

chavs do come from all walks of life, but i think you mainly find them in families where the mother doesnt work, and often neither does the father! my parents were never there for me when i was growing up, and i have respect as was never a chav, just depends on who you knock around with, where you go to school, live etc

Food shopping, is that a joke?
Food shopping is done together at weekend and takes no more than an hour, hell i'll do it in my lunch break if needed. No excuse.
80% of your time will be sitting watching TV and I know that for a fact, I have a child.

IMO they're just excuses not to work.
All of those can be done at weekend, except the meals which can be taken in turns, and the person who didn't make the meal should always wash up straight after.
Tell me, how is earning nothing better than earning something and having a better life?
Talk about shite, feel sorry for the guy who's gonna have to be the sole bread winner whilst you're sat on your ass watching trisha.
Good luck finding a mug who's gonna let you stay at home pretending to be busy
