Phil, I had the same problems with my F16, I took the gear turret thing off the top and looked in the gearbox and scared myself abit. After abit of fucking about with my original gearbox I somehow resolved the issue

I used to get sick on suspension bolts. Whopping 19mm ring spanner and 19mm socket on breaker bar. Snap
