ROCK FM= ABSOLUTE SHITE!!
Radio 1 is miles better, chris moyles is great, but some mornings he can be annoying as fuck or funny as fuck. his selection of music is ok i suppose. jo wiley mostly plays what you all refer to as 'indie' but mixes a bit of pop/r'n'b/dancey pop, lol. edith bowman's show is ok, but only because i'd like to shag her brains out. and as for scott mills, dont even get me started on that faggot (not because im against gays or owt, hes just a faggot).......oh ye i fuckin hate sara cox aswell, annoyin biatch!!!!

It's not really fair to call it Indie but I will agree Radio 1 play a lot of dull, middle of the road stuff and flog it to death. Bands like Snow Patrol, Keane etc are just bland background noise, then there's really irritating crap like Lilly Allen, Gwen Stefani, that bint from Black Eyed Peas where they are buying into the person and attitude rather than the music.
Even when I switched to Kerrang when it was available I found they played a fair bit of Coldplay and Orson when they should have been playing more RATM or System of a Down, something a bit edgier and interesting.

Radio1 is good, but I agree they play some tripe. But they have to cater for everyone possible so can't really do much about it. This has just reminded me to create a new thread.

Radio1 is good, but they do have a very annoying tendancy to plug a certain band every now and then. Take the Kaiser Chiefs for example. They've plugged them big time over the last month or so. They also tried doing the same for the Klaxons, but not on such a big scale.
Edith Bowman is shit without Colin.

Rock FM has been shit for ages. I quite like the stuff they play on Zane Lowe (sp) and Colin Murry, the rest of its bearable. Hate dance and rap style shows they do, they seem to try to hard to be cool.

I refuse to accept that Hard Fi are even remotely indie. They're to mainstream to be indie.
Is Indie not becoming mainstream? I mean bands like Kaiser Cheifs, the killers, the kooks, the feeling, Klaxon... Its somewhere between pop and rock
