larger wheels will also effect a dyno run as they will dig into the rollers more and create more drag, you usually get an inflated power reading with large readings

how do you work that out?

wider wheels will create more drag than thinner ones, and bigger rims are usually wider

you never said wide, plus i doubt 19" wheels on a corsa would be very wide. which is why they would fuck up the power.

Some of the arguments and remarks are out of order in this thread.....

There is ways and means of getting your point acroos other than being a dick..Like saying it's shit..This has all been discussed before on here....

On the actual topic of the post...

I had Kieran who was 2 1/2 and I had my Xe corsa Gsi and wife had a Fiat Ciecento (sp)...Then a drunk driver hit us head on when all 3 of us were in my wifes car, not good..Although Kieran and myself walked away Karen was in hosptial for a eeek and still ahs problems with her foot and getting a operation next month...

I sold my Xe corsa and got a Volvo S40 T4 as I felt safer with Kieran and new baby in the car..I still went to a 200bhp fast/comfy/safe car and I have modded it...

But I do feel safer with the kids in it than the corsa....I did have my sport for a while though when I had Kieran...

Any more arguments thread will be trashed.

Im trying to sort some pics out at the mo, had to re install my pc.
Its a 1.8 turbo ltd edition sport only got 17s at moment but havent had it long. Its black. had the windows tinted bought imported black rear lights and chrome wing mirrors. Its not going to be highly modded cause i Think it looks okay apart from the 17s. Gonna invest in one more size up.

Apologies accepted, Everyone has their own opinions their are others ways to put it, but bottom line is the car was done to my taste and no one elses and it got put on various stands at various shows and that made me happy. But any of your abuse hasn't bothered me too much cause after all I no longer own it.

but still, larger wheels will make your car slower, hence people using smallerish wheels on the track / strip, but the size of your wheels will not effect your engines power. that was the point i was trying to get across.

with regards to

Can we set something straight here`see below.

The size of the wheels wont effect the engine power, but they may affect how a dyno calculates the power, and they will affect acceleration
