Which was one of my points, put Given infornt of any of the top 4 defences and he would be regarded as one of the best keepers in the world.

Cosmo I stand corrected on Reina, I haven't really seen too much of him other than the odd game and a couple of absolute howlers I seem to remember

I'm sure he would but for Newcatsle, same as Robbo for Leeds, he makes mistakes... they may not always be his fault but he does make mistakles none the less

Name me a keeper that doesn't, I've seen Jens has made a hell of a lot more unforced errors than Given has.

given is a top keeper, it's blatantly obvious in a good team he would be one of the best in the prem.

You can't use the fact that a poor defence is making a keeper look crap

Cech is much better than Given imo. As is Van Der Saar, end of.

Look at Carson at Charlton, he is behind a shite defence, and is letting goals in because of this, but look how impressive he is actually looking.

I'll agree with all that. Regardless of his looks though he is still a fantastic keeper. Did you see the save from him when Heskey hit the post? Lehmann got the very feintest of touches.

Agreed he can look good but even wenger basically said he's on his way out at the end of the season
