Buy it, use it, fix it if it gets scratched, same as you would with the GSi.

if thats the way you look at it then looking at it as just a car then its worth about £100

but youl pay a few k for one because its the collectability which makes the deal mean more than just a car imo

Your saying the because its a collectable car you cant use it as you would another car. Its not about how you treat it, its the sense of ownership and knowledge of fellow car owners. Also the engine alone is worth more than 100 quid.

an extreme example but if you had the painting of mona lisa would you hang it up in your front room just as you would any other painting or picture? no youd lock it up and keep it somewhere as its a collectable, the same goes for anything that collectable.

its just not a day to day car because of its age and condition

I would to be honest. I wouldnt buy a painting and lock it up. I see where your coming from, its just opinion.

Indeed, if you're saying its just a car then it should have the same price tag as any other D-E reg Escort...

Not really. If I was buying one, I'd be paying for the fact that it was the fastest available. I wouldn't expect to pay as little for an Impreza turbo as I would for an Impreza 1.6, but they are both JUST cars...

IMO, there is absolutely no point in buying a car and not using it.

Aye if you can afford both that would be ace

Just seems a shame if you allready have a good car to get rid and potentially end up worse off if the RS starts causing you trouble! But then the Corsa could be trouble in the long run aswell Who knows

the rs is around 200 bhp.... so its only ever going to be a summer car in my eyes anyway... dont fancy that in the winter haha
