i don't think the VXR is that quick either.
when i had the LCR i gave one a good run and it didn't pull away from me once.

I think a VXR would have no problem.

steves is standard, what have you done to yours to get 160bhp?

tbh if you look at 0-60 of all the new "hot hatches" they're all pretty slow in standard form, my ibiza was flat 6 sec 0-60. so when i played with an st he was disappointed. never got to play with a vxr.

oh i know, but what i'm trying to say is, don't expect much from a standard hot hatch, in standard form my ibiza was shit, the 106 would of slaughtered it, remap it's a bit different, but to think on a car that cost me £6000 i was quicker than a lot newer supposedly fantastic hatches.

Yes LCR would be a better race, it has 225bhp.

Your mate with the VXR can't drive, a VXR up the strip leaves Rachels old GSi with ease, not a massive amount but it does keep pulling away.

i've had a corrado vr with similar mods to the one that started this little riot off, and i've taken my friends vxr for a wee thrapping.
Much as it pains me to say it, the vxr would hump the rado! over about 90ish, the vr may make up a bit of ground but there's only gonna be one winner!

Still prefer a nice rado though!

Wouldn't go to regal personnnally, tell him to go to TMS.

What fuel is he using? Different fuels makes a HUGE difference.

Have driven a VXR for a weekend and have owned an astra coupe turbo. The vxr is definately much quicker than the coupe. The power is completly different

I found with the VXR that it almost feels like its doesn't have a Turbo and pulls all around the rev range compared with the GSi/Coupe Turbo.

If this refers to me then all I said was I was dissapointed...

not once did I try and make out an Astra coupe is faster than a VXR, or that I have owned both cars... just that two mates have them and we done some back to back testing of our own

But what if one of your mates know hows to launch and the other doesn't?

Rach raced a bloke in a VXR who could launch and he trashed her up the strip, she then raced a bloke that couldn't launch and he didn't thrash her.
