Yup, even though its a better way of preserving the wine. Mainly old people that are never willing to try something new

told loads of peeps that they will slowly all go this way. and one woman actualyl said.

"I could never bring a bottle of wine to a dinner party if it had a screw top, they are just cheap and nasty"

i wanted to point her towards the door but she ended up spending over £200 in that transaction

Vintage Veuve is some of the nicest stuff i have had.

tried all the "Bling" champagne. Cristal, Krug & Krug Vintage, DP.. but out of all the £80++ market the Vintage Veuve rocked.

cant remember how much it was. around £60 i think.

IF anyone can find a Vintage 1990 of pretty much any champagne. BUY IT 1990 was the best year for it.

Trouble with the expensive stuff is it is too bitter. Actually, some of the Australian and New Zealand sparkling wines are a lot nicer than most of the glitzy stuff.

MUMM isn't a bad drink either; they sponser most of the big sailing/powerboat events and even have their own race class yacht the "Mumm 30". It used to be at the only drink available at some events so got a bit of a taste for it.

Pol Roger is another which is nice; apparently was Winston Churchill's favourite

Waitrose Champagne was one of the best you could get. I guess it still is, yet no one ever buys it because it's a supermarket brand. Test chmpagne was the best one last christmas apparently. Another interesting fact there
