Gerrard wants to play in an attacking role, he gets played on the right hand side (although he doesnt stick there, he roams all over the pitch which is the idea)) so he doesnt have any defensive duties. And this can only be achieved by having Alonso and Sissoko in the middle to pass the ball out (Alonso) and do the defending duties (Sissoko). There is a reason Gerrard had one of his best seasons last year, and that was being on the right and scoring 23 goals!

And as for back 4 we do know the best. The only problem at the moment is limiting Hyypia to certain games as his pace (the little he had) has totally gone now but his positional play is still excellent. And his replacement, Agger, is still only new to the English game so needs to be brought into it slowly...you dont just throw a young central defender in and expect him to perform week in, week out.

Djourou was thrown in and he did fine.

In my opinion Arsenal and Manchester Utd have far better squads than liverpool do. The acid test is ask yourself this question if you were to merge the 2 starting 11s how many players would come from each team. There's not many from Liverpool in mine anyway.

Yeah they can do wrong, but some of the stuff your coming out with is complete bollocks. Like about Gerrard being better in the middle...he scored 23 goals from the right last year and controlled the play from there. And not knowing the best back 4...when its fairly obvious to anyone who watches us that we do!!

What starting 11 would you have then out of the two teams?

As has Agger (scored 2 goals already and looks solid) but when you have a player like Hyypia we have no need to just throw him in but can ease him into the games....but Hammer saying we dont know our best back 4 is just rubbish!

Now I know you really havent seen Liverpool play much....especially to put Garcia in there aswell. He gets the odd important goal, but his overall game is poor, does the tough stuff well but the easy stuff he just gives the ball away.

And not having Riise in ther eis a bit of a joke aswell...and Finnan should POSSIBLY be in there aswell...our most consistant performer along with Carragher over the last few seasons.

That's the best back four you can put together from Liverpool and Arsenal's squads?

I dont think the centre two can be questioned TBH, they both deserve to be there.

The two full backs can be questioned, Riise is good both going forward and defending...scores a lot too for a defender. Finnan is the only one Id really question could be replaced, but over the last few seasons he has been solid at RB for us and played more last season where we kept 38 clean sheets than any other of our defenders.

and also, if Gerrard is such a great right mid why have you got him playing off the main striker, exactly where i have him

as otherwise Id have to drop another from midfield. Thats fine by me, Rosisky/Kewell out, Gerrard in midfield and Kuyt upfront

Kuyt before Van Persie? even Van Basten wasn't thick enough to do that

He is being completely biased though

Get some nuetrals like yourself to come up with some teams and I would imagine they'd come up with what you did

Eboue should be in back 4. He was voted into the last 3 of European defender of the year last year afterall.

Like I said Finnan is the only one I could question, so either him or Eboue is fine. He isnt above Carra, Gallas or Riise (as he offers plenty of goals and attacking threat) though.

Im not sure how you could argue with a midfield of Gerrard, Alonso, Fabregas, Gilberto though, neutral or not. Rosisky is good but he isnt better than Alonso.

Upfront is Henry straight away, no dispute there. And either Kuyt or Van P. Kuyt has 5 Prem goals in 7 games (not all starts either), Van P has 4 in 6 but with 4 yellows!!

Umm...

Lehmann

Eboue Toure Carragher Gallas

Gerrard Fabregas Xabi Alonso Rosicky

Kuyt Henry

Kuyt is on top form atm, Carragher, Gerrard and Xabi Alonso are just class... Xabi just sneaks in ahead of Gilberto as he scores more!!!

BTW- Other than that I can agree with that team 100%. Jens just nudges the keeper spot for me as has played more and shown his quality more than Reina. If Reina had started this season as last he would be in there for me.
