Anybody who has half a clue about watches will know about seikos.
You obviously don't.

Oh no, goldsmiths don't have seikos beside other expensive watches.

Remind me what high end watches goldsmiths sell again?

3 manufacturers worth maybe.

I did say seiko is for any price range.

Obviously the cheap ones aren't the same quality as ones costing thousands of pounds.

All they people who still pay thousands for a seiko can't have the 1st idea obviously.

All the idiots paying stupid prices for rolex because rolex says so must be laughing.

I have an Ellesse watch which my gf bought me for my birthday.

Not fussed on the name etc.. as long as it looks alright and remotely stylish.

Off the top of my head,

Rolex, Breitling, TAG, Oris, Omega, Armarni, D&G

And right at the back Seikos (max value £250)

In fact im hard pushed to think of ever seeinga Seiko for more than £250

Maybe the cog (WTF is that about?) is actually valued at £3250

Oh and you are perfectly right, Rolex owners are Rolex owners. They either buy them for an investment or for the pose factor.

I didn't say you could buy expensive seikos at goldsmiths though?

I wouldn't buy a watch from goldsmiths anyway.

Seiko have some highly renowned movements and as i've already said the springdrive movement is the biggest innovation for a long time.

My next watch however will be a panerai.
I'd have that over any seiko I have yet seen.

I've not decided yet?

Rolex will only let you have rolex to sell if you sell them at the price rolex say.

If you don't live up to all the criteria they set they just don't give you any watches.

Shops must know rolex as a brand brings people in so they have no choice.

Rolex even admit it.
Rolex don't just sell watches, they sell luxury.

Panerais go from a couple of grand up.

Unless I win the lottery anytime soon I doubt I will be getting a 12k one.
