and I wouldn't set your hopes on getting a job that suits you straight away. More often than not you'll need to get the experience doing jobs you might not like.
I'm slowly moving over to IT which is ulimately where I want to be. I started off in HR

I just dont have a clue
Oil & Gas industry is pretty big where I stay & so is the money....I wanted a piece of the action.
Also off shore - your working 2 weeks on with either 2 or 3 weeks off so in theory only working 6 months of the year or less!!
It seems interesting, I worked behind a desk for 2.5 yrs bored out my mind & will never again!!
Erm....loads of other benifits, free medical insurance, company bonus & share scheme, final salary pension(not many places still do that!).

Someone 'big' in a company, that has to do fuck all and gets paid

Being serious, you've got the wrong attitude to start with TBH. Sound like a no hoper destined to stack shelves in a pet store to me.
