Lawrah, my mates from the outset looks quite big. There's quite a large lump at the top of her arm and when she touches it it wiggles about  It gives me the eeeegies !!!

yes....the implant goes in your arm. I knew someone that had it, and you can actually feel it. I could never get it
I know that it would begin to annoy me and i would definitely start picking at it.
I would also be very panicky about not having a period....these things are never 100% proof like most contraception...having a period puts my mind at ease that I'm not up the duff ....
how would you ever know if you didnt get one at all
As for the pill....you can run your packs....so finish a pack and then the next day start the next one and that is fine.
Apparently you can do it for months at a time...but again, I like to have a period to make sure all is ok!!! I also find that when you run a pack your period when you do get it is twice as bad.
If you have a couple of days break and then start again when you shouldnt you wont be protected and will most likely get some 'breakthrough' bleeding...so not really worth it

you can also get an injection in your bum every three months as contraception
can't say I've ever fancied that much either
what's the recommended length of time to stay on the pill? I heard it was 10 years

Jade, im not sure but I think you have to start another pill pack as soon as you've finished the old one (no breaks).

Hmmm......What I can't get my head around is, my pill finishes on a Sunday, I don't usually take my period until the following Friday and its 'safe' to have sex between the Sunday and the Friday. Soooooo.......this time instead of a 7 day break from the pill, I only took a 2 day break and started on the next packet, so how is it not 'safe' now after a 2 day break yet its safe during a 7 day break
