protein drinks seem expensive but if u wanna do it in eating terms to match the protein count its approx the same except the protein shake is handier. 2 bulk up u need meat, chicken also egg whites, heard of body builders eating crazy amounts of egg whites per day. aparently the yoke of the egg has too much colestoral (sp) or something. also tuna and peanuts are hig in protein. Altho one thing to note, big protein diet equals very smelly farts...

I had;

6 egg whites and 1 yolk,
100g 90+ in 500ml skimmed milk
100g pasta with tuna salad and baby potatoes,
sugar free jelly with low fat yogurt,
banana,
apple.

its not just the choloestorol (sp) that makes a lot of bodybuilders avoid the yolks, they arent also very high in saturated fats. when i used to diet down i had between 20 and 24 egg whites per day, 3/4 cans of tuna, 500g chicken fillets and lots of protein powder etc. when bulking basicially nock that down a lil bit as protein isnt a super essential anymore, you need to concentrate on carbo loading; lots of pasta, basmati rice, poatoes etc
