1.4 SRi 3d 93(year) 1389(cc) 90(bhp) n/a(top speed) n/a(0-60) 39(MPG) 6(insurance)

90 bhp? I wish try 82
39 mpg? No chance the lil bugger drinks fuel maybe on a long motorway journey at 60

I dont see why an SRI would drink fuel. The 1.4 16vs arent that bad really and should provide good mpg at 60. I did 48.6mpg in my 1.4 8v at 65-70 on the motorway.

Sound expensive. My 1.4 8v isnt great around town but on the motorway its good. Did Birmingham to Plymouth and back on one tank (442 miles), and it only took 41 litres (£40) to fill it when i got back.

Dont need to wait to find out what bhp it is, 1.0 12v's are 55bhp maybe less once time has taken its toll and a few horses escape, taking into consideration the de-cat, I reckon you wont get above 57bhp.

maybe, but its still fun! cheap to ensure being a young driver, fuel efficent and looks nice, lots of potential. I know that i couldnt beat the bigger engines on a straight drag. But no need to shoot a man down so harshly.

Not takin the piss mate, my first car was 1.0 pug 106 with 45bhp so i know what a 1.0 is like. To be fair theres no point claimin you got xxxmph unless you have proof cause people need convincing especially on message boards. Youve already said you were gettin annoyed at peoples reactions so the lesson is dont bother trying to claim things unless youve got hard evidence, saves you getting worked up about it!

Understood, walk the walk; my post wasn't to claim anyhow; just to suggest that others with a similer engine to me give it a go!

i drove a 1.0 on a local motorway (the M58) which one way there is a definate incline for a long distance. my speedo read 110mph, my brother's civic alongside me using the GPS said it was nowhere near, not even close to 100mph, so from my experience i just can't see one reaching a proven 115mph tbh

I had 114mph on the clock of my old 1.0 C going down hill which was standard bar a K&N panel filter... must of added 23.4bhp that.

In reality I very much doubt it was over 100mph at all, more like 96 if that.

a 1.0 will NOT do 115mph. downhill does not count FFS.
