the lad in newcastle has done almost everything possible to his 1.4 on tb's, 300 degree cams, steel bottom end, c16xe head with headwork, 9200 rpm rev limit..... makes 170ish (cant remember exact figure) at the fly.
where does that 1.4 get another 40+ bhp from
Everyones sceptical about any power reading. TBH, im not really assed what anyone thinks, im just adding what another person told me, and I had no reason to dis-believe him judging on the cars quality. Its a full race spec engine (bear in mind the 1.6 makes over 256bhp at peak tune) and requires rebuilds quite often.
I'll let you lot argue it out if it makes you feel better and you think otherwise You all have time.

Depends what you call the truth...
I once had some tosser from here, advertise a 1.6 16v Corsa engine, when it turned out to be a lower powered astra engine, yet he said nothing. Obviously out to make a quick buck. Also had a hydrolic gearbox which the seller failed to mention... But seeing as that seller thought he also knew it all, we believed him as I thought he had a commen interest.....
Doesn't matter as I sold it and made more money on it, but the seller lied, so yeah, he may also be lying....... Its pretty easy to do.
Ring any bells steve... (awaits a whinge or one of your usual comebacks... )...

Not every rolling road reads the same either. There can be big discrepancies between them.

TBH i was sold the engine as a corsa engine by the scrap yard, no lies on my behalf as I thought it was a corsa engine too as that is what i was told, hence why i refunded £100 of the money (which you always fail to mention)

I forgot about the £100 you gave back So i made even more from it. Advertising as an Astra engine.... Not bad, plus i got a RWD rust van to drift in the wet for a day. Was a fun outing. Fealt like a milkman... Sherpa van, hired off the Crays ex driver
