it affects us becuase we are all human beings. They are us in a way, and when the problem becomes so big we have to deal with it we will then care. But at the same time, people have enough to worry about in their general lives without having the burden of thinking about whats happening there aswell.

It has different affects on everyone, Adam_D hasn't a care in the world, and too right mate, your happy as you are, on the other hand, you have me, worried as to what kind of surroundings my daughter and other kids I have may be growing up in, what kind of people is she most likely to encounter in 16-50years time, worried about my missus who's often on trains, planes and commuting round the UK, I have a family to look after and I want the best for them, so if there's going to be trouble with every muslim I stumble across, I may aswell stick to 'project SA'.

I'll jump ion the controversial boat with you Rob In the middle east, we send over wave after wave of soldiers to try and keep the peace. The thanks we get, is killing our troops  If they had the missile launching capabilities that we do, they'd have probably fired at us by now. As for the 3rd world countries. They should have evolved when we did.

what would it cost Israel to let go of the West Bank and Palestine...what remains there is only sand, rocks, rubles and no interests. It's only a small piece of land.
When Iraq invaded Kuwait (with the US help) in 1991, the allies condemned that and removed the Iraqis from Kuwait, why not in the present Middle East crisis? (or is it because there is no interests like petrol etc...)
the root cause of the problem, world unrest started in 1949, and is growing by the day

left to their own devices, they would, or they'd die. which is what happenes to animals, which is what humans are. survival of the fittest. if they cant fend for themselves....
in the middle east, if they are left to their own devices, they'll kill eachother and there wont be conflict anymore. us getting involved creates problems here which otherwise wouldnt happen...
