Jimmy are the turbos from PD130 engines hard to get hold of?
My old man blew the seals on his in 3 months and it took them 5 weeks to get a new turbo!

Top of my list of possible next cars is currently an Mk4 Astra GSi
Best value for money IMO, good value for money, 0-60 in around 7 secs. Loads of extras. Look good, cheap to run.
Theres an arden blue one on AT at the mo with 30k on the clock for £7k and IMO that is a bargain and a lot of car for the money
How about a Clio 172 can be picked up for 5k for a facelift model. 0-60 in under 7 seconds, leather and all the goodies

To be fair, they are mostly good solid and reliable cars. Mine was superb for nearly 2 years, but then it turned into one thing fixed, next one breaks. The ECU went haywire when James had it whilst i was on holiday and ended up with us breaking down on the eurotunnel, then breaking down on the way back on the eurotunnel. Finally got ECU done, then the car started randomly cutting out. Just became too much expense.
Some of it was my own fault. I put a really smart FMIC on it and for a while it was great. After a while we noticed it just was too big for the tiny turbo on the AGU engines so boost was down, preformance down and as a result, overfuelled badly. Id buy another one, but id be a lot more careful about how i went about modifying it as they can be expensive to fix. ECU alone cost 700 quid to do

to be fair, i seriously doubt the performance figures by renault for the 172, the ones i have raced lost, badly, now i fully expect to beat one but not quite by what i did, yes they were trying, and also my mate knows someone with one and he said it doesnt feel fast at all, nothing compared to mine
to add to this, i could keep up with one in my 150bhp megane coupe
