Had the Golf 5 months and 5 days

And...

I have reserved an S3

Small refundable deposit now, they send me the brochure and details at the end of the month and then call me in Oct/Nov to test drive it and spec it

They basically guaranteed me that they will offer me a top top price on my GTI which will (muchos thanks to Beadles) leave me with cash spare (ie. I should owe less than the value of the car) due to the spec of mine and the suppsoed clamour for used GTI's as well as the fact that they hold their value so well

The sales guys were chit chattign with me about it today and they have heard that it will almost certainly only end up as a PR exercise to prove they can do... but practically, it's not viable as the V8 would leave them needing to ask £38k for it and people could buy an S4 for that :S

that audi is gorgeous as much as i like the mk5 gti i would sooner have that sat on my drive
