the shitest 1.6?  how the fuck do you work that one out? handle amazing, very light so quick compared to most 1600s and with it being froup 7 insurance i really cant think of a 1.6 better for the price

according to parkers the phase one vtr is around 90bhp and the phase 2 is 100bhp. this could affect things surely?
ps i realise that parkers isnt terribly accurate

ye your right andy. the mk1 is much slower than the newer VTR but itl still beat a 1.4 corsa and still handles so much better

you sure? my SRi wasnt really pulling away from it up to about 90kmh, and the GTi and SRi are fairly well matched

it has the same bhp as a vtr
it weighs the same as a vtr
it handles well
put 2 equally skilled drivers in both round a track and i bet there is bugger all in it

tbh after having a 1.4 sport for 5yrs and doing 110,000miles in it, i know its capabilities quite well
