because ryan has the facts
because the dog has a history of killing
the dog has only ever bitten its handler and has been in some serious situations where it could of killed or seriously injured several people

give this guy a bone to chew on

Ry and 3CM are correct in the wording of dangerous by the police, this however, as stated on the Wales link, was in the first year that Saxon bit his owner twice, however, in the last 4 years he hasn't bitten him at all. If saxon was declared dangerous should he have not been destroyed after the first year then, or is there a 4 year delay in the system

who owns said dog?

surely they should/can decide.

does seem harsh tho to take a dog, train it to be the best it can, work it for its live, then kill it.

surely they can be untrained or trained to do something else instead of subdue people.

am in two minds

Kerry you are taking this a bit to personal, just because you are a dog lover i feel your comments are unobjective and bias.

I adore dogs myself, but can fully understand the arguement for destroying the animal.

And as already said, you should see how dogs get treated abroad. If saxon is put down he wont suffer.

I've read all the links kerry. In the bottom one it states this:

Mrs Townley said her husband was told Saxon was dangerous because he bit him twice in their first year together. But the pair have since been together for almost four years.

And the thing I can't understand is, correct me if I'm wrong here, but arn't they trained to move on the dog handlers command So why on earth would it attack an innocent passer by without being ordered.

TBH I don't see why you're taking this so personal Kerry. It's one dog, as I've said, a shame if it gets put down, but a lot of people die in third world countries every day etc, surely you'd be better of putting your brain to helping out world poverty than one dog that only has a efw years of it's life left?

Ry, its easy to say its a shame for the dog, and you're right, there are far worse things going on in the world, but think of it from a diferent perspective. what if it was you're dog? I guarentee you'd be singing a different tune. Ps; I know it isn't Kerry's dog either before someone says it lol

Im just saying there's worse things to worry about than one middle aged dog, seems silly having this debate and spending all this time when no one seems to care about third world countries.

Exactly and Ry, people do care about the 3rd world countries, but I don't think a petition about getting them out of debt is going to overturn poverty
